If I would need a minivan early Voyager/Caravan/Town&Country or Espace would be the first candidates. I have no idea why would I need a minivan but I have still thought about this just in case.
I wonder why I don’t see any backseats. Either they they are all lacking headrests or that’s not a proper minivan.

None of the vans from that era had headrests in the back. But in this case, it looks like the seats were removed, as well.

Nah, there’s no way. Let me google the 1984 Renault Espace...
Dammit.

And the European vans would have had them before the US, on average...

There is a woman in my town who daily drives a white one of those, but with the same “wood” paneling. She doesn’t drive it in the winter much, which is why it’s still around, I’m sure. It looks MINT from 50' away, I’ve never really looked at it that closely.
I’m guessing she bought it when her kids were young (her kids are my age) and basically never got rid of it. She’s had it for as long as I can remember.

My parents had that exact van (an 87 LE) in the early 90’s.
